I just recently started getting into wearing leotards (or otherwise known as bodysuits). The last time I owned one was probably 3 years ago for a college ballet class I took, however since then I have now purchased them for fashion. Upside:: They are a great item to have especially if you are looking for that sleek tucked in look with a high waist skirt or pair of jeans. Any body type works well with them, you don’t have to look like a ballerina to wear them. I’m curvy and they not only suck me in but also show off my curves in a great way. Downside:: The only downside that so far I’ve found when I wear them is the bathroom situation. Most of them are one-piece aka when you are out and go to the bathroom you have to pull the whole outfit almost completely off which can become a bit of a pain especially if you’re drinking and are on the every 10min run, however, you can find some leotards that do have snaps down there which is always more helpful. I recently purchased a few leotards from American Apparel; they have a great variety and really fit well. They are on more of the expensive side averaging around $40 for one so try and stick with pieces that you will find getting more than one use out of. Stay Fearless! xxWednesday, January 19, 2011
A Leotard - - not just for your average ballerina
